Otto Gustav Douglas
Count Gustav Otto Douglas (1687-1771) was a Swedish mercenary. He was captured by Russians during the Battle of Poltava. He was eventually employed by the Russian army, and was in charge of the occupation of Finland. The ancessor of Russian Douglases. Was Governor of Revel (now Tallinn) from 11 Aug 1738 to 22 Mar 1740, as well as of Baltic region (that included Estland, Kurland and Lifland) from 1736 to 1740 and Finland.
