Editing a Family in the Record Editor

For quick access to basic elements of the record use buttons "Husband...", "Wife...", "Children...", "Wedding...", "Note..." and "Links...".

Buttons "Husband..." and "Wife..." invoke edit dialogs with lists of men or women accordingly. If the Editor is called from menu "Edit" - "New family from selected" there will be only men/women from the currently selected persons - it allows to decrease the size of the list and makes search of the necessary person easier.

Button "Children..." calls the edit dialog for children:

Buttons "Add" and "Edit" call an edit dialog with a list of persons. If the Editor was called from menu "Edit" - "New family from selected" there will be only persons from the selected in the list.

Buttons "Up" and "Down" move children up and down the list. Actually the order of children in the list is not reflected in any way in their visual position in the tree. GEDCOM standard recommends to arrange children in order of their age - the older children are in the beginning of the list.
Note: the order of children can be changed also in the record's tree of elements with its own "Up" and "Down" buttons.

After pressing "OK" button the Editor checks number of the family members and if it less than two, does not allow such family.
